March 2026: 5 Grant Deadlines (& Happy Women’s History Month!)

Skim Time: 4 Minutes

Hi there, Subscriber First Name—

I’m Frédérique Irwin, President & CEO of the National Women’s History Museum, and Board Member of Ladies Who Launch. We’ll jump into this month’s essentials shortly, but as March is Women’s History Month, the LWL team asked me to start this newsletter with a few personal thoughts:

Women’s History Month is not just about looking back. It is about remembering the women who built before us.

Long before venture capital or accelerators, women were launching businesses, funding their own ideas, and creating opportunity where none existed. They faced barriers most of us will never fully understand. And they built anyway. Their stories are not just history. They are reminders and proof of what is possible, especially when the moments are hard.

At the National Women’s History Museum, our She Is Not a Footnote campaign ensures those stories are seen and amplified. Because she was not a footnote. And neither are you.

Go build something that honors that legacy.

🩵 LAUNCHER SPOTLIGHT

We celebrate women-owned businesses in motion: the decisions they’re making, the challenges they’re navigating, and what other founders can learn along the way. Be sure to give your fellow Launcher some love online!

Bella Wu of Evermore Hues
2026 DonorThank you, Bella!

As a high school student, Bella Wu is making waves. In her spare time, she spearheads a number of projects focused on elevating and empowering women, including making handmade candles and donating the proceeds. We asked her what drives her, and here’s what she had to say:

“I’m driven by the belief that small actions can create real opportunity. I was drawn to entrepreneurship because it gave me a way to turn my convictions into tangible support for other women. I hope to see a future where women are not the exception in business, but fully recognized as leaders shaping it.

CALLING ALL COLLEGE STUDENTS
Speaking of supporting the next generation of women launching incredible businesses, here’s a bonus opportunity for college students brought to you by LWL board member, Rosie Rios!
