Tools

  • Startup-Investor Matching Tool is a platform that matches underestimated founders to investors for capital. In two months 170+ investors and 500+ founders have come on the tool and six investments have been made. Thanks to Lolita and Josh Taub for creating this excellent resource!

Women & Non Binary Founder Resources

A curated list of women founders focused on Angel, VC, and other capital resources

  • Flatirons Fund: Their mission is to “advance and support a new wave of founders, particularly women and people of color who have traditionally been underrepresented in venture capital.”

  • 500 Women:  Funding Flawless Female Founders

  • Ada Ventures: Francesca Warner closed a $34M fund for the UK-based Ada Ventures which intends to make VC funding more accessible.

  • Female Innovators Lab by Barclays and Anthemis: Early-stage venture capital firm dedicated to investing in female founders in fintech.

  • Astia:  Network that offers access to capital and training/support for women entrepreneurs

  • Backstage VC: Backstage Capital has invested over $7M in more than 120 companies led by underrepresented founders.

  • BBG (Built By Girls) Ventures*:  Invests in consumer internet startups with at least one female founder

  • Black Girl Ventures: BCG mission is to provide Black/Brown woman-identifying founders with access to the community, education, and leadership development in order to meet business milestones that lead to economic advancement through entrepreneurship. They also have a digital community to connect with other entrepreneurs.

  • Cartier Women’s Initiative:  International business plan competition for women entrepreneurs

  • Chingona Ventures: Samara Mejia Hernandez has raised an undisclosed amount of funding for Chingona Ventures, which is slang for “badass woman.” They have an interest in funding fintech, future of work, food technology, and overall wellness companies led by underrepresented founders who have raised less than $1M.

  • Chloe Capital:  Seed stage VC firm focused on women-led companies

  • Cindy Gallop: Cindy Gallop is launching a $200M fund for sextech startups.

  • Digital Undivided:  Programming focused on Black & Latino women founding tech companies

  • European Women in VC: European Women in VC is the community of senior women investors (Managing Partners and founders of VC funds and Business Angels) that currently brings together over 350 women from all over Europe. It is a joint initiative of women from seven countries (Poland, Czechia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Estonia, Slovenia, Hungary).

  • Female Founders Fund:  Invests in female-led startups in e-commerce, platforms, and web-enabled services

  • Forerunner Ventures: Early-stage venture capital firm dedicated to investing in ambitious entrepreneurs to define and dominate a new generation of business. Founder Kirsten Green

  • Gingerbread Capital: Early-stage through later-stage growth capital investments in women founders and women-led businesses 

  • Golden Seeds:  Angel investor network and fund investing in women entrepreneurs

  • Halo Incubator:  Incubator for female founders

  • Her Corner:  An Accelerator for Women Entrepreneurs

  • Hypatia Capital: Private equity firm focused on female founders

  • Intel Capital Diversity Fund:  Fund that invests in female and minority-led startups

  • Make Mine a Million (Count Me In):  Helps women business grow into million-dollar enterprises

  • Mergelane:  Accelerator and investor of women-led startups (Boulder, CO)

  • Next Wave Impact:  An innovative learning-by-doing early-stage venture fund

  • Pipeline Fellowship:  Women investors investing in women-led social enterprises

  • Refinery:  Transforming women-led startups into scalable businesses

  • Springboard Enterprises:  Accelerator for women-led growth companies

  • So Gal:  Global platform for young female entrepreneurs and diverse investors

  • Tory Burch Foundation Capital Program: Loans for small business founded by women

  • Valor Ventures:  Fund based in Atlanta that funds female founders

  • Women’s Venture Fund:  Helps entrepreneurs through courses, counseling, credit, and more
